Slots in Danger of Losing its Importance?
In most casinos that can be found across the country, there is an entire floor that features slot machines that bears a minimal resemblance to the slot machines that were made almost a decade ago. Slot machine handles have been replaced by a touch screen window where players can just push a button and slots for coins have been replaced by tickets.
The familiar drop of coins has been replaced by electrically generated noise. The three reel slot games like the IGT's Double Diamond and other older type of slot machines were once the top of the classes in slot machines technology once upon a time.
Not any longer…
The machines are still around but they have mostly been replaced by the different two to three cents and even slot machines who accept nickel denominations nowadays. Putting more pressure in the old slot machines were the triple reel slot machines who accept lower amounts of cash to play. Little effort is being given to remodeling three reel slot machines products.
With this ongoing situation, the extinction of the two-dollar Double Diamond machines becomes a real possibility. A lot of slots industry expert said that possibility is dependent on the decision of the players.
The demand of the gambling industry for the reel slot machines continues but the new games that are being introduced to the public reflects the industry's interests from the three reel slot machines, which means that if the interest in these games runs out, they will not be replaced with a newer version.
Experts also say that what the industry is seeing today is the widening of the products that has connections with reel-spinning slot machines to recognize this new segment in the gambling industry which like the visible reels more. Even though some of the slot machines feature triple denomination features, some of the other manufacturers only feature games with only a single denomination.
This greatly helps preserve the casino dynamic in the gaming floor but this does not change the fact that the traditional slot machines are in danger of fading from existence. A lot of casino owners know that a lot of players are betting dollars per spin on the slot machines that have a bigger casino wins.
Gamblers that are known as "dollar players" are beginning to get hooked on playing the slot games which have a smaller denomination. The industry's gaming dynamics have changed greatly over the years especially with the slot machines. This is not necessarily good for the players but it certainly benefits the casinos.
